Pool Water Treatment / Pool Algaecides

AlgaeShield Algaecide is a power copper based algaecide designed to kill and control algae growth for up to 30 days in swimming pools. This algaecide is a non foaming formula great for pools with attached hot tubs or water features.

Dosage

To Control Algae:

1 oz per 1,000 gallons of water per month.

Where Visible Algae is Present:

2 oz per 1,000 gallons of water.

Directions

To control algae in pools:

Apply at a rate of 1 fluid ounce of AlgaeShield per 1,000 gallons of water. This will yield a rebate of 0.45 ppm metallic copper. Repeat a maintenance dosage of 1 fluid ounce per 1,000 gallons of water once a month to maintain control. Application should be made before visible algae appear.

Where visible algae are present:

Apply at a rate of 2 fluid ounces per 1,000 gallons of water. This will yield a 0.9 ppm of metallic copper.
